We have a new way to use the Data-mate software,
We have just upgraded our software and methods used to collect the data from the field units and place the data on the computer. To start we now have a solution allowing the software to be used on both the 32 bit and 64 bit O/S.
The software and manuals are now on a 2 gig Flash Drive which allows you the parking lot manager access to your data on the flash drive and not to be hosted on the computer hard drive alone. It is recommended to create a variety of back up files as the best solution to backing up files is to create more than one file on many different locations.

Development and testing is progressing on the new IPLC/PHEV Meter. Testing is in the second year on this unit which is intended to be used to monitor ongoing electricity consumption on Hybrid and PHEV vehicles. This unit remains with the vehicle and does not lose functionality or data even when it is unplugged from the grid. This stays with the vehicle from location to location. This unit records the electricity consumed by the vehicle. As the market of hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) increases so will the demand for electricity at the workplace. This meter will monitor the electricity used and therefore make it possible for the lot owners to charge for this service.
So what's behind the IPLC Data-Mate and how does it work. It is important to note that the IPLC units are factory programmed and ready to install at the time of purchase. The M210-D for gas engines and M210T for diesel engines. The software program and hardware that is used to make changes to your IPLC unit is called the IPLC Data-mate. This unit is available separately and is complete with the field software. To assist you with the functions of this software we have put together a few videos on the ins and outs of its operation. The IPLC parking lot control is extremely flexible and can be adjusted to suit any desired situation however when possible we recommend you leave the factory settings in place for the first year of operation. By keeping these settings in place for the first year you will get good research data that will help you understand how the parking lot is being used and where you can find the most savings.
Along with allowing you to make changes to the profiles in your parking lot the data mate also provides you with complete reports on each of the units indicating the amount of time power was supplied to the unit, the kilowatt hours used, how many kilowatt hours would have been used if the IPLC was not in use and the savings on each particular stall and more.
We hope that this series of videos below will give you a good understanding of the use of the Data Mate and the software. To view these videos click on this link.
